Brogan Kirkman, Attorney
In 2014, sailing a catamaran on the Pacific Ocean from Panama City, Panama, to Papeete, Tahiti, Brogan lost his fear of leaving his comfort zone at sea. Upon completing the voyage, no longer hindered by fear, Brogan left his home state of Utah and relocated to Massachusetts to pursue his dream of becoming a lawyer at Western New England University School of Law.
As a law student, Brogan graduated in the top 5% of his class while holding leadership positions the on the Executive Boards of the Western New England Law Review and the Alternative Spring Break Pro Bono Club. However, Brogan diverged from the traditional law school path by allocating half of his second law school summer to studying international transactional law in Genève, Switzerland.
In 2017, after passing the New York Bar Exam, Brogan was accepted to King’s College London’s prominent International Financial Law LLM program in the United Kingdom.
After graduating with Distinction from King’s College London, Brogan returned to the United States. In selecting a location to practice law, Brogan was drawn to Alaska’s focus on nature and it’s endless summer nights and white snow winters.
Brogan has been practicing law in Alaska since July of 2020 and with AOW since July of 2021. At AOW Brogan adds a diverse, worldly perspective to solving local Alaskans’ problems.
