About Maria

Maria graduated from The University of Alaska in Anchorage in 2022 with a Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies. She is currently pursuing a Juris Doctorate (JD) with a certificate in child welfare at Mitchell Hamline School of Law. Maria is currently a Rule 44 intern practicing under the supervision of Christopher M. Cromer. Maria is fluent in Spanish and looks forward to expanding access to legal services to Alaska’s growing Spanish-speaking community.

A recent transplant to Alaska, Maria and her husband were stationed here by the Army where Maria still serves as a reservist. Maria has fallen in love with Alaska and its people and looks forward to its summers to hike every possible trail. Maria has two wonderful kiddos and a German shepherd named Daisy, all of whom love to hike with Maria.
